🎤 *tap tap tap* Is this thing on?
Hi, friends! It’s been a hot minute. While 2025 was a year to focus on my sweet babies, I’m coining 2026 the year of YOU!
I just came back from another Keller Williams Family Reunion, and let me tell you— phenomenal! From the content to the company, it was a wonderful four days with some of the most brilliant minds in business and real estate. Here are my three main takeaways that I think might resonate with you, too.
1. Don’t wait. ⏰
Rid yourself of the excuses and just do 👏the👏damn👏thing. At the end of the day, your success is up to you and no one else. Get in to action NOW. Also don’t forget— the fruits of your labor likely belong to more than just you. Is your family worth the sacrifice of waiting for the perfect timing that, truth be told, we both know will never come? I think not. JUST DO IT! You are worth it, and you deserve it.
2. Be authentic. 🫶
Social media video is not new, yet its importance as an entrepreneur in particular has never been higher. Yes, you really look and sound like that, and in the words of one of our speakers, Giselle Ugarte, “And you look great!” People want YOU. They like and respect you for being YOU. They don’t want some perfectly articulated, always has it together, rose-colored glasses you because that’s not real— they want YOU. Authenticity wins every time. Own yours.
3. You can’t escape from SM and AI. 💻
I probably struggle the most with this one. If it weren’t for out-of-town family wanting to see our lives/the boys or business requirements, you probably would not find me on social media. 😅 I think my biggest AHA about this is that it’s not about me. If I want to serve my clients at the highest level possible, that includes being present for them, educating them, and meeting them where they are. It’s not about me— it’s about them.
Along with this, one of my favorite phrases from the week was, “AI won’t replace you unless you’re using AI to replace you.” Read that again. Optimization and efficiency— yes! Make time for what you and enjoy and what matters most, and leverage the rest. If you’re using it to sink away in the background— not so much. If you’re not using it at all— be careful. It’s here to stay whether we like it or not, so you better figure out how to make it work for you in a sustainable way.
Curious on the rest of my notes and thoughts? Comment below, and I’m happy to share. I look forward to serving our office’s agents and my clients with renewed energy for our 2026 real estate landscape. ❤️
