Let me share a story with you all…

15 years ago was our wedding day.

Months of planning and anticipation had gone into making it picture perfect. All our friends and family were gathered - some flew in from across the country.

If you know Tay then you know everything was impeccably planned. It was beautiful.

Just before the ceremony, the florist arrives with flowers for the wedding party. All looks great EXCEPT Tay’s flower arrangement is a disaster, as if our ring bearer made it in his preschool class.

I wasn’t in the room but I know my wife. First response? Probably utter rage. Fire in the eyes. Possibly punched a pillow. But then she did something that makes my wife truly rare.

When the music started and the doors opened I saw Tay standing in the doorway with a huge smile on her face and a Starbucks cup in her hand. My happy tears were mingled with laughter as she made her way down the aisle.

My wife is a rare woman. She’s strong. She has a point of view. She’s loyal to those she loves. She stands on truth. She’s a fighter. She’s gritty.

And…she’s joyful. She’s loving. She’s kind. She’s thoughtful. She’s a phenomenal mom. She has an incredible sense of humor that breaks through in even the hardest circumstances.

We’ve been through a lot over the past 15 years together My Love. Thank you for choosing to do your life with me. I’m a better man because God gave me you as a partner in this life. We make a great team!
