Flower Mound's southern gateway is officially under construction — and this project is bigger than most people realize.
Silveron Park at Lakeside Village Blvd & FM 2499 is a restaurant-focused mixed-use development from Weitzman. Phase 1 is 17,400 sq ft and completes this fall. At full build-out: 40,000 sq ft of retail and restaurants, 525,000 sq ft of office, and 200 luxury apartments on 50 acres. The FM 2499 corridor is already one of the most active in south Denton County — and this project just raised the ceiling.

The Pony is opening this summer at 314 E. Hickory St. and it's the most Denton concept I've heard in a while — art bar, pizza joint, music venue, AND ceramic painting all under one roof. 🎨🍕🎶
It's family-owned, moving into the former Vinyl Lounge space, and Cream Bunny Bakery Cafe is opening just down the same building. Downtown Hickory keeps stacking up reasons to walk around all afternoon.

Argyle just dropped a stat that turns heads: the town has grown 75% since 2017 — and somehow the crime rate went DOWN, not up. 📉
Mayor Ron Schmidt broke it down this month: total crime up just 16% during all that growth, and the per-resident rate fell from 7.9 to 5.2. Add in new roundabouts, smarter signals, and developers being required to build internal road networks inside commercial sites, and you've got a town that's actually planning for the growth instead of just absorbing it.
