Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Tourism President and CEO Beth Gendler presented year-to-date tourism figures during the Chamber’s First Friday Forum breakfast at the Orange Beach Event Center.
Gendler reported that taxable lodging revenue had reached $739 million through July, up $60 million over the same point last year, with visitor spending up $500 million in 2025 compared to 2024. She also pointed to the Alabama Tourism Department’s 2025 report, which found 7.1 million visitors came to Alabama’s beaches and spent $6.8 billion in Baldwin County’s coastal communities, supporting 57,000 tourism-related jobs.
More coverage of the presentation, including new lodging development and Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Tourism’s new “By Locals for Locals” program, coming soon at the link in our bio.
