In light of all these storms my Throw Back Thursday is of our old cedar tree that blew down some time maybe around 2007. My mom got the tree from her grandparents' house back when she was about 5 and her dad planted it.
One of the big problems for trees around here is the hard pan that the roots cannot get through as you can see in the pic of the root ball. It was only about a foot deep and the tree was about 30 to 40 feet tall. It was amazing it stayed up as long as it did.
