The average age of a first-time home buyer just hit an all-time high. You are not late. You are not behind. You are exactly where millions of people are right now.

The median age of first-time buyers has climbed to 40! Which is way up from the late 20s back in the 1980s. The timeline has shifted for an entire generation, and it’s not because people stopped wanting homes. It’s because the market got harder. Prices went up but so did interest rates.
