🖤 The Art of Home
There comes a day when you walk through your childhood home and realize… you’re the visitor.
The walls haven’t changed.
The hallway still creaks in the same spot.
The kitchen still smells like coffee in the morning.
Your bedroom may look different now, but for just a moment, you can still picture exactly where everything used to be.
It’s funny how a house can quietly hold onto pieces of our lives.
The height marks on a doorway.
Holiday dinners that seemed ordinary at the time.
The front porch where you waited for friends.
The driveway where your parents taught you how to ride a bike.
Back then, you couldn’t wait to grow up.
Now, you’d give anything to relive one ordinary afternoon in that home.
Because the older we get, the more we realize…
Home was never just the place.
It was the feeling.
It was knowing someone was waiting for you.
It was hearing laughter from another room.
It was feeling safe before you even knew how precious that was.
Some homes stay with us forever.
Not because of the floor plan.
But because they helped shape who we became.
What memory does “home” bring back for you? We’d love to hear it. 🖤
