Hi, I’m Carlee Dalmau, a Sacramento-based real estate agent with over 30 years of experience in both real estate and lending. My extensive background in lending gives me a unique perspective that allows me to seamlessly guide you through both sides of your transaction. Whether you’re buying or selling, I’m here to make the process as smooth and stress-free as possible. Having lived in Sacramento f

or most of my adult life, I know the area inside and out. From its diverse cultures to the stunning scenery and endless recreational activities, I truly love calling this place home. I’m passionate about helping others find their perfect home here too. In addition to my real estate work, I’m committed to helping dogs in need find loving homes. While I don’t run a rescue, I regularly share posts about dogs that need adoption or fostering, hoping to connect them with the families they deserve. When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me exploring the scenic roads of Northern California on my motorcycle or soaring through the skies in an airplane glider. My husband and I have been riding together for years, and we love the adventure that Northern California offers. At Weichert Realtors Sierra Pacific Group, I’m part of the largest Weichert office in Northern California. Whether you’re a first-time homebuyer or a seasoned buyer, I’m dedicated to putting your needs first and helping you find the perfect place to call home. I'm a realtor working with you, for you, and by you, because my business is you.

Found this guy in my water fountain last night. Thought he was dead but decided to dry him off by cupping him in my hand and then blowing into my hand. After a while his legs started to twitch and then for about another hour he started coming around... gave him sugar water in this video... then placed him in a bowl with a flower and a cotton swab soaked in sugar water.... then I put him & the bowl in a gallon zip lock bag (poked holes in it of course for air). This morning I walked outside opened the bag... took him and the bowl out and then about 5 mins later he flew away..... feels good not giving up and helping another creature survive....

What do motorcycles and home buying have in common?

More than you might think!

One of my favorite things to do is hop on a motorcycle with my husband, Louis, and hit the open road. We have spent years exploring Northern California together, winding through wine country, cruising along scenic back roads, and discovering places we never would have found if we had stayed on the highway. Some of our best memories have been made on two wheels, enjoying the journey as much as the destination.

Believe it or not, riding a motorcycle has taught me a lot about buying a home.

When Louis and I head out on a ride, we usually have a destination in mind. We know where we want to end up, but sometimes the best parts of the trip are the unexpected discoveries along the way. A small town we've never visited. A scenic overlook. A local restaurant that wasn't on the map.

Home buying can be the same way.

Many buyers start their search with a very specific picture in mind. They want a certain neighborhood, a certain floor plan, or a particular style of home. Then something unexpected happens. They walk into a home they almost skipped and suddenly it feels right. Or they discover a neighborhood they had never considered and realize it fits their lifestyle perfectly.

I've learned that while it's important to have a plan, it's also important to keep an open mind.

Just like a motorcycle ride, buying a home is an adventure. There may be a few twists and turns along the way, but those turns often lead to something even better than you expected.

Whether I'm helping clients find their next home or enjoying a ride through the beautiful back roads of Northern California with Louis, I've learned that some of life's greatest opportunities appear when you're willing to explore a different path.

Louis and I have been riding together for years, and one thing we've learned is that the journey is often just as important as the destination. The same is true when searching for a home. Sometimes the house you end up loving is the one you never expected to find.

Wherever your journey takes you, enjoy the ride. 🏍️🏡

✨ BEFORE ➡️ AFTER ✨

You don’t always need a full remodel to make a home feel fresh, modern, and ready to sell.

This bathroom is a perfect example of how a few simple updates can completely change the look and feel without breaking the bank.

We kept the layout the same and focused on smart, budget-friendly improvements:
✔️ Painted the vanity for a fresh, updated look
✔️ Swapped out hardware and fixtures for a modern black finish
✔️ Replaced the mirror and lighting to brighten the space
✔️ Added a clean, neutral shower curtain
✔️ Lightened up the flooring and brought in soft, neutral textures
✔️ Finished it off with simple staging touches to make it feel like home

The result? A brighter, cleaner, more inviting space that buyers can instantly connect with.

And the best part… this kind of transformation can typically be done for just a few hundred dollars, not thousands.

This is exactly where my husband Louis and I come in. With his 40+ years of remodeling experience and my background in real estate, we help you focus on the updates that actually matter… the ones that give you the most bang for your buck and help your home stand out when it hits the market.

And if you are thinking I would love to do this but do not have the extra cash, there may be third party programs that can help with upfront costs, with repayment typically handled through escrow when the home sells. Terms can vary, but it is something we can explore together.

So, if you’re thinking about selling and aren’t sure where to start, we’d be happy to walk through your home with you and show you what’s worth doing and what’s not.

Did you know that most sellers spend way more than they need to before selling.

Before you spend money on your home, take a look at this.
One of the most common questions I hear from homeowners is whether they should remodel before selling.

In many cases, the answer is not a full renovation, but a strategic approach.🤔

This example shows how a kitchen can be transformed with targeted updates that align with what today’s buyers are looking for. The goal is not to over improve, but to invest where it makes sense.

My husband, Louis, brings over 40 years of remodeling experience, and I focus on pricing, market trends, and buyer behavior. Together, we help homeowners evaluate whether making updates will increase their overall return 💲or if selling as is is the better option.

Every home is different, and the right strategy depends on the property, the market, and the seller’s goals.

If you are considering selling and want a clear, honest perspective, I’m always available to help.😄

Thinking about selling your home but not sure if you should fix anything first?

I get this question all the time. Some people feel like they need to update everything before they sell, and others don’t want to touch a thing. The truth is, it really depends on what actually puts more money in your pocket.

That’s where my husband, Louis, and I come in.

Louis is not a real estate agent, but he has been remodeling homes in the greater Sacramento area as well as the San Jose area for over 40 years. He brings a ton of hands on experience and knows what improvements are worth doing and what ends up being a waste of money. I focus on the market, pricing, and negotiating to get you the best possible return.

Together, we look at your home and help you decide what makes the most sense. Sometimes a few smart updates can make a big difference, and sometimes it’s better to leave everything just the way it is.

And if it doesn’t make sense to do anything, we will tell you that too.

If you’ve been wondering what your home might be worth or whether it’s worth doing any work before selling, I’m always happy to take a look and give you honest feedback.

🍀 A Touch of Ireland: Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day

There is something special about St. Patrick’s Day that goes far beyond wearing green or celebrating for a day. It carries the spirit of Ireland itself. Warm, welcoming, and full of heart.

It is a day rooted in history, honoring St. Patrick, but over time it has grown into something even more meaningful. It is about connection. It is about gathering with the people you love. It is about finding joy in the little things that make life feel full.

When you think of Ireland, you picture rolling green hills, cozy homes, and a slower pace of life where conversations matter and time feels just a little more generous. That feeling is what St. Patrick’s Day invites us to bring into our own lives.

You do not need to be in Ireland to feel it.

You can create it right at home.

Set the table. Play some music. Cook something warm and comforting. Invite people in or simply enjoy a quiet moment to yourself. However you celebrate, let it be intentional. Let it feel good.

Because at the end of the day, this holiday is not about luck in the way we often think. It is about gratitude. It is about recognizing the blessings we already have and holding onto them just a little tighter.

And what would St. Patrick’s Day be without a blessing to carry with you:

May your home be filled with laughter,
your heart be light and free,
and may each day bring simple joys
that mean the most to thee.

Wishing you a beautiful St. Patrick’s Day filled with warmth, love, and a little bit of Irish charm 🍀

Before you start tearing out kitchens and bathrooms in preparation to sell… take a deep breath. 😄🏡

Sometimes a home doesn’t need a full renovation to make a great impression. A few simple updates can go a long way toward helping buyers fall in love with a space.

Fresh paint, less clutter, updated lighting, and clean carpets can make a home feel brighter, bigger, and more inviting.

I put together a short article with a few easy ideas that can help freshen up a home before selling without spending a fortune.
