🏡 HOA Update for California Homeowners

Did you know California’s new Assembly Bill 130 (effective July 1, 2025) changes how HOA fines are handled? Many homeowners think it eliminates fines — but that’s not the case.

✅ HOAs still have the right (and responsibility) to enforce CC&Rs.
✅ AB 130 distinguishes between “curable” violations (like hedge height, fences, or landscaping) and “non-curable” issues (like parking misuse).
✅ For curable items, each day the violation continues can still result in a $100 fine per day until corrected.
