🏡❤️ THIS is what community looks like!

The very first Forest Grove Annual Neighborhood Garage Sale is officially in the books, and getting to watch this video brings all of the excitement from that day right back!

What started as an idea to create something fun for our community turned into neighbors opening their driveways, families spending the day treasure hunting, kids running their own stands, local support, new connections being made, and so many people simply enjoying the day together.

And THAT is exactly what I hoped this event would become. ❤️

We had an incredible turnout, participants who sold out, shoppers who made it their mission to visit nearly every sale, lots of great treasures finding new homes, and so much positive feedback from both shoppers and participants.

But my favorite part was seeing the community behind it all.

People stopping to talk. Neighbors getting to know one another. Families making memories. Shoppers laughing their way through the participant yard sign challenge. And so many people coming together to support something brand new.

These are the kinds of traditions that make a community feel like home. 🏡

Thank you to every participant who took a chance on this first year, every shopper who came out, Papa Floyd's Doughnuts for generously supporting our participants, the Forest Grove Police Department for sharing neighborhood safety information and everyone who helped spread the word and make this event possible.

And this is only the beginning. 🥹❤️

My hope is to continue growing the Forest Grove Annual Neighborhood Garage Sale year after year and make it even bigger, better, and more fun for our community.

I’m excited to officially announce that I will be hosting what will be the first Annual Forest Grove Neighborhood Garage Sale this summer! 🏡🛍️

The participating homes will be located throughout neighborhoods near Forest Grove High School, creating a fun and convenient community-wide garage sale experience for both sellers and shoppers alike.
This is something I’ve been planning with the goal of creating a fun community event that helps bring neighbors together while also making garage sales more convenient and successful for everyone involved.

For homeowners, this will be a great opportunity to declutter, make some extra cash, and benefit from a larger coordinated event that helps attract more shoppers to the neighborhood. For shoppers, instead of driving all over town searching for sales, you'll be able to easily visit multiple garage sales all in one area during one organized event.

My hope is that this becomes an annual tradition our community can look forward to every summer. ☀️

This year, parking for shoppers will be available at Forest Grove High School, where I’ll also have an event/info booth set up with:

• Community garage sale maps showing participating homes

• Highlighted sale features on the map that homes will have, such as kids' items, furniture, tools, food and drink stands, and more

• Water bottles for shoppers

• Tote bags to help carry items while visiting sales

I’m also excited to share that the Forest Grove Police Department will be partnering with me on this event by stopping by to hand out popsicles and stickers, connect with the community, and provide neighborhood safety information.

A huge thank you as well to Realtor Giovanna Maldonado and Forest Grove High School for partnering with me for this first year and helping support this community event.

I’m incredibly excited to see this come together and grow into something special for the Forest Grove community. My hope is that this becomes a tradition that neighbors look forward to year after year, a fun way to support one another, clear out our clutter, meet new faces, and celebrate the sense of community that makes Forest Grove so special.
