This morning I had the opportunity to join several other Chisago Lakes area Realtors and attend a forum with the Superintendent of the school district to learn more about the upcoming referendum that will be voted on in just a few short weeks.
As a homeowner in the area and a parent of two kids within the Chisago school system, it was very eye opening to hear the funding challenges our district faces. Local infrastructure, state legislation, national programs, and taxpayer dollars all play a role in how our schools operate. I was extremely impressed with the proposed plan to strengthen our facilities and support our students and staff in the coming years.
