That demand can lead to more offers. Data from the National Association of Realtors shows homes receive about 2.8 to 2.9 offers on average in spring, compared to roughly 2.2 to 2.5 offers in late fall and winter.

Homes also tend to sell faster. Realtor.com reports properties sell about 20 days faster in spring than in winter.
