Ohhh noooo… Mr. Bill builds a house.
On November 17, 1979, Saturday Night Live aired “Mr. Bill Builds a House” — which sounds sweet until you remember this is Mr. Bill, and nothing good ever lasts for more than six seconds.
Poor little guy is just trying to put together a home. Then Mr. Hands gets involved, and suddenly it turns into the usual claymation nightmare: smashed plans, total chaos, and one very doomed construction project.
That was the whole beauty of Mr. Bill. He wanted such normal things.
The universe had other ideas.
Still one of the funniest recurring bits from early SNL.
