When my wife and I bought our first home, the agent we worked with told us that there is no negotiating in new construction. The best we could hope for was the inclusion of a fence, garage door opener, or a similar add on.
I make sure my clients understand that everything is still negotiable. Yes, negotiating with a Builder is different than with a resale home but it comes down to leverage and opportunity. Is your agent looking for leverage or creative opportunities to get you the best results?
