When I got my real estate license, I knew I couldn’t stand the generic postcards everyone else was sending. We’ve all seen them—another photo of a house recently sold, or "another sold by so-and-so," (which is GREAT!) and straight to the trash they go.

So I decided to do things differently. I started creating my own postcards, putting my personal twist on them. Sure, it takes me a little longer, and I know many people might still throw them away. But for those who take a second to look, I want them to notice the effort behind it. To add a little extra flavor, on the back of my postcards, I include one of my favorite recipes.

It’s a small way of making real estate feel a bit more personal, and hopefully, it brings a smile (and maybe a new dish) to someone’s day.

Real estate isn’t just about transactions; it’s about the connections we build along the way.

Last week, South Florida was hit with terrible Tropical Storms and massive airline delays/cancellations and inevitable flooding. This was our back yard. It took about 4 days for the water to subside.

It is the risk you take by living in paradise.
