โจ ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ง ๐๐๐ข๐ฆ๐๐! โจ
This beautiful 10th-floor Fort Lauderdale condoโwith intracoastal and sunset views, just steps from the ocean ๐โis officially ๐ฆ๐ข๐๐! ๐ก
I had the honor of representing the sellerโa longtime acquaintance who trusted me to guide him through the sale. My seller was a dream to work withโtrusting, communicative, and kind. And while the views were peaceful and the balcony was perfect for soaking in the sunsets ๐
, the road to the closing table was anything but quiet.
We had ๐บ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐ป ๐ฏ๐ฌ ๐๐ต๐ผ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด๐ over a period of months ๐
, and I was personally there for each and every one of them. As the listing agent, I knew the property better than anyone, and I wanted to make sure every showing counted. But showing up didnโt always go as planned...
I had days where I confirmed showings with agents the morning of, arrived early to open up the unit, and still ended up waitingโฆ and waiting. Sometimes it was a last-minute โrunning lateโ text from the buyerโs agent. Other times, no text at all ๐. One agent texted five minutes before the appointmentโthen showed up two hours later. On more than one occasion, I found myself sitting in the lobby on a perfectly sunny South Florida day โ๏ธ, chatting with the buildingโs security guard to pass the timeโwho, along with the rest of the front desk team, ended up rooting for me to sell the unit like I was the underdog in a movie ๐ฌ.
Guest parking was basically in Timbuktu ๐บ๏ธ. And one rainy day ๐ง๏ธ, I took a graceful fall in the parking lot (yes, I slipped and fell on my butt ๐), then hosted the showing anyway, soaked and smiling. After that, I went straight to a showing tour of six properties for one of my buyers. Not glamorousโbut thatโs real estate.
The buyers were off to Spain ๐ช๐ธ midway through the transaction, which added a fun little twist to coordinating everything across a six-hour time difference โฐ. The condo association? Letโs just sayโฆ it had layers. ๐ง
There were a few unexpected curveballsโlike electrical issues โก that werenโt caught when my seller originally purchased the unit years ago. They were flagged during the buyerโs inspection and immediately taken care of because safety and doing things right matters.
Behind the scenes, I was juggling a lotโmy mom was in the ICU ๐ฅ during part of this, and like many of us do, I put on a smile, stayed focused, and handled each step with care, even while navigating personal obstacles.
Every closing tells a story, and this one was about ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ, ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ, ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ต๐ผ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ฝ ๐๐ถ๐๐ต ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐บ๐ถ๐ป๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ปโeven when no one sees whatโs happening behind the scenes. I didnโt just put this listing in the MLS and wait. I consistently marketed it strategically with every ounce of experience Iโve built over the years and... followed up.
Remember, it only takes ๐ข๐ก๐ buyer to fall in love.
