During National Hispanic Heritage Month, we honor the lives, legacies and accomplishments of the Hispanic and Latino communities. This month, our employee resource group VIDA hosted events across our markets and a moving discussion about resilience and empowerment. To round out the month, they are volunteering with a local food pantry to help provide food to our neighbors in need. Thank you, VIDA, for a month of connection, education and impact.

And just like that… one year! 💚

One year of managing Emera Port Royale, and what an incredible journey it has been.

This year has been filled with beautiful Florida sunshine, meeting so many wonderful residents, building relationships, and working every day to create a community that truly feels like a sanctuary and a place to call home.

Of course, every year comes with challenges. We faced them, worked through them, learned from them, and kept moving forward. One thing I’ve always believed: never give up, keep looking for solutions, and always strive to make things better.

Hospitality and customer service have always been more than just a career for me — they are something I genuinely love. There is something incredibly rewarding about creating experiences, taking care of people, and knowing that the work we do can make someone feel at home.

I’m so grateful for my amazing team who stands beside me every day, and for our residents who make Emera the community it is. ❤️

And a very special thank you to my family for supporting me through the busy days, the long days, the challenging days, and all the exciting moments in between.

Here’s to one year at Emera Port Royale — and to everything still ahead. 🥂✨
