🚨 New Gmail Attacks You Should Know About

Cybercriminals are getting smarter, and Gmail is their latest target.

Two big threats are making the rounds right now:

1️⃣ Phishing with stolen business data – A hacker group called ShinyHunters got hold of company contact details through a Salesforce breach. They’re now sending fake emails and even making calls (often from a 650 area code) pretending to be Google support. Their goal: trick you into handing over your login codes.

2️⃣ AI-driven phishing – Attackers are slipping hidden instructions into emails that try to hijack how AI assistants (like those inside Gmail) process your messages. It’s subtle, hard to spot, and designed to get around human suspicion.

👉 What you can do right now:
• Change your Gmail password
• Turn on 2FA or, better yet, use passkeys
• Run Google’s Security Checkup
• Don’t trust unsolicited calls or “urgent” Google warnings
• Stay cautious with links and attachments, even if they look legit

Back in mid-2024, we built a custom website for a client who invested $3,500 into his business. After launch, he decided to pause his hosting and maintenance with us. We reached out several times to let him know the site would eventually be deleted after 90 days, but life got busy and we didn’t hear back.

Fast forward to now — he came back. Not only did he want the exact same site rebuilt, but he also shared how much he valued the work we did the first time around. One simple framework my team and I (who sucks at sales) uses is called SNAP. It works for ads, emails, landing pages, and even sales calls.

Here’s how it breaks down:

S – Story
Start with a relatable story or scenario. People connect with stories before they care about facts.

N – Need
Highlight the problem or pain point your audience feels. Make it clear why this matters right now.

A – Answer
Present your solution in plain language. Keep it clear and actionable.

P – Proof
Back it up with evidence: results, stats, case studies, or even testimonials.

When you combine these four, you create a natural flow that draws people in, builds urgency, and earns trust.

SNAP for Realtors Prospecting Homeowners

S – Story
“I just helped a family on Oakwood Drive sell their home in under 14 days. They were nervous about timing the market but ended up with three offers, all above asking.”

N – Need
