The Fed's Beige Book is out for our district — and northern New Jersey is part of it.

Housing activity was little changed. Supply remains tight and is limiting sales, listings edged up, and home prices were pushed higher.

No one knows when rates will move — and with 72% of would-be buyers waiting on the sidelines, if rates move, they may step back into a market with limited supply.

Today's window is a calmer one, on both sides of the closing table.
