ater's Edge Fort Myers has amenities few communities in Southwest Florida can claim. The neighborhood is complemented with 2 heated swimming pools, 2 tennis courts, a 600 foot private fishing pier on the river, a private beach and riverside park and a 36-slip marina (Peppertree Pointe Marina at Water's Edge) that can accommodate boats up to 26 feet in length. There is also trailer storage, a boat launching ramp, and 15 minute direct access to the gorgeous Gulf of Mexico and Sanibel and Captiva Islands via the Caloosahatchee River. The community has monthly dinner parties on the waterfront, open to all homeowners, which is great for getting to know your neighbors. There are 7 distinct neighborhoods in Water's Edge Fort Myers, which includes single family homes, villa homes and mid rise condominiums. There is a master homeowners association that maintains all common areas such as the pools, tennis courts, the marina, pier and riverfront park. Each of the 7 neighborhoods has a homeowners or condominium association and each pays dues to the master association. The master homeowners association owns and operates the marina and collects rents for slip leases and dry storage space in the marina. Homeowners of the Water's Edge and Peppertree Pointe communities may lease slips in the marina and use recreational facilities within Water's Edge. Amenities
Water's Edge has two heated swimming pools for use by all residents, in addition to several pools that are located in the condominium neighborhoods of Harbor Place/Harbor Place Vistas and Seabreeze Lofts. Water's Edge also has two tennis/pickleball courts for use by all residents. Marina Operations:
Our marina (Peppertree Pointe Marina at Water's Edge) is a 36 slip private facility owned by the Water's Edge community, located on the Caloosahatchee River, with direct boat access to the Gulf of Mexico. We also lease our dry storage facility for boaters who wish to store their boats. All slips can accommodate up to a 24 foot boat with a limited number of slips able to fit a 26 foot boat. A maximum beam of 8'6” applies to all slips. A limited number of mooring spaces will handle larger vessels along our marina sea wall. Recently, boat lifts were approved for installation in the marina basin. The lifts are the property of the boat owner. If you lease a slip and wish to install a lift, you must obtain approval from marina management. If you wish to lease a slip with a lift, you will need to make arrangements to purchase the lift from the existing owner. Boats occupying a slip in the marina must be insured with a $300,000 liability insurance policy, and name Water's Edge Fort Myers, Inc. dba Peppertree Pointe Marina as an "additional insured". The insurance policy must be kept in force for the term of the lease. A copy of the policy must be provided in a timely manner to the marina management. Failure to do so will result in the lessee's boat being removed from the marina, at the owners expense. Dry storage is also available for lease in the adjacent parking facility. Obtaining a marina slip or dry storage space:
A request for a marina slip or dry storage space should be submitted to the email address [email protected] or by calling (239) 437-0811. We maintain a wait list for marina slips and dry storage space when all are leased. Currently there is a wait list for marina slips and dry storage space. A request for both a marina slip as well as dry storage space is given priority over a request for dry storage space only. As a general rule, there is a longer wait time for dry storage space than for a marina slip. It is not possible to estimate the availability of either, as we have no way of knowing when someone will vacate our facilities. Turnover is about one or two wet and/or dry slips per year. If a resident on the wait list is offered a spot and they decide not to lease the spot, they will then be placed at the bottom of the wait list.
