"At Monday's City Council meeting, a moving tribute to Mr. Roy Kennix was made by Mayor Kevin Anderson. Mr. Kennix was a voice in our community and will be truly missed. Accepting the tribute in his honor was his wife, Ms. Frankie Jennings. She addressed the council to remind them of the work that Roy had started and not to let it be abandoned. In attendance and support were the tutors that worked alongside Mr. Kennix in the after school program."
