A little history behind this property...
This land has been growing something since 1918. It started as a single-room tenant house with no electricity, no plumbing, just a family and 20 acres of Florida soil. Over the decades the original farmhouse grew a room at a time: two bedrooms, a porch, and eventually (after being moved to its current spot in 1951) a kitchen, bathroom, and indoor plumbing.
For generations, this land grew eggplant, peppers, potatoes, and squash, packed right on the property and shipped up to New York City.
The family who built it all eventually moved away… but they never really left. They kept coming back - for a weekend, a week, a whole growing season - because there was something about this house and this land that got in their blood.
Right now, you can stay in the main house on the property and experience that same land, trees, and quiet.
And soon, you’ll be able to stay in the historic farmhouse itself - currently undergoing a careful renovation to bring it back to life while keeping its story intact. More on that coming soon!
