Never Forget………….September 11, 2001
There are certain moments in life that you remember exactly where you were and what you were doing.
On the morning of September 11, 2001, I was driving over the overpass at San Carlos Boulevard when I heard on the radio that the first plane had hit the World Trade Center. I will never forget that moment, the confusion that followed, or watching our country change forever that day.
Today, we remember and honor the 2,977 lives we lost. I honor the firefighters, police officers, first responders and ordinary people who ran toward danger to save others. I honor the men and women who answered the call afterward and fought to protect our country and the freedoms we hold so dearly.
Twenty five years later, we remember the lives, the families, the sacrifice, the courage and how our country came together.
May we never take our freedom for granted, and may we never forget.
