A deep dive into the book of James and I have decided to start Bible journaling.

I’m slowing down, reading with intention, not just to understand it, but to live it. James is already challenging me to grow in faith that shows up in real life: in my words, my actions, and my heart. 📖✍️ “Be doers of the word, and not hearers only.” (James 1:22)

This weeks bible study we focused on James 1:19 — “Be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger.” These are three things I’m actively working on myself every single day. Listening first instead of preparing my response. Pausing before speaking. Choosing patience when emotions rise ❤️

This is a powerful lesson for our kids too. In a world that encourages quick reactions and loud opinions, teaching them to listen well, speak wisely, and respond calmly is such a gift. And they learn it most by watching us practice it ❤️

On the road back from Atlanta, we had a Chat with Dad. We were talking through James 1:19 — “Be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger.”

Honestly, this verse hits close to home for me. These are three things I’m actively working on myself every single day. Listening first instead of preparing my response. Pausing before speaking. Choosing patience when emotions rise. None of it comes naturally—but it’s so necessary.

What really stood out to me on this drive is how powerful this lesson is for our kids too. In a world that encourages quick reactions and loud opinions, teaching them to listen well, speak wisely, and respond calmly is such a gift. And the truth is… they learn it most by watching us practice it.

This week’s Bible study challenged me deeply. Words matter, especially the ones we say when others aren’t around. I’m working on choosing grace over gossip and also teaching my kids to turn conversations toward encouragement. Ephesians 4:29 ❤️

02/03/2026

During our last bible study and chat with dad we are reading Ephesians 4:29, we focus on the importance of speaking what is good for necessary edification—choosing words that build others up rather than tearing them down. We talk honestly about real-life situations our kids face, especially in middle school, where gossip, negative talk, and peer pressure can feel unavoidable.

We also reflect on Philippians 2:15, encouraging our children to be blameless and innocent, shining as lights in a crooked and twisted generation. This conversation is about helping kids develop the strength to stand up for others, redirect negative conversations, and respond with kindness—even when it’s uncomfortable. ☀️ Good Morning ☀️
✨ February Faith Challenge: 28 Days of Faith ✨

A new month is here, and I’m choosing to start it with intention.
For the next 28 days, I’m challenging myself—and inviting you—to open the Bible at least once a day.

I’ll be honest: consistency is something I struggle with. Life gets busy, distractions creep in, and some days it feels easier to skip it. But I know that when I stay rooted in God’s Word, my heart, mindset, and peace are different.

So instead of doing this alone, let’s do it together.
No pressure. No perfection. Just showing up—one day at a time. 🤍

If you miss a day, don’t quit. Just come back.
Let’s grow, stay faithful, and encourage one another through February.
