Personal Information
My name is Melissa Cook, I am an active member of the DeKalb County Realtors Association where I currently serve as the Affiliate Chair and Secretary elect for the year 2020. I am also a member of the National Realtors Association, Alabama Association of Realtors and serve as an Ambassador for the Fort Payne Chamber of Commerce.
My Family and I take pride in our community and take every opportunity that we can to give back or volunteer. My father is a retired Fireman for the City of Gadsden, this is where I suppose I learned love for the community and the importance of giving back to it.
Our family has faith in God and Country. We are proud Christians and Patriotic to the core. As a family we enjoy Alabama Football and love spending our hard earned money in Tuscaloosa come football season. We live atop Lookout Mountain where we often get to enjoy Gods creatures, they are many here. We enjoy DeSoto State Park, Mentone and Little River Canyon. We truly live in a great area. We are active in Fort Payne High School were my son plays football and baseball. The children are our future and time with them is never wasted.
Personally, I enjoy serving my community very much. My favorite time of the year is Christmas it is at this time that I get to give joy to those children in DeKalb County you are active in foster care. Serving at the Bread of Life in town is a blessing and I serve every opportunity that I get. I have recently become active in the Fort Payne Three Arts Club.
Before becoming a REALTOR I ended my employment with The Vantage Group which is a local company that was founded by former Senator Lowell Barron. The company uses HUD funding to build and then manage affordable housing complexes in multiple states in the South Eastern Region of the United States. I am completely in love with my new career.
