Once upon a time a Jersey Girl had a dream of moving to the land of sunshine where everything stayed green and she didn’t have to freeze for six months of the year. After visiting this foreign (to me) land three times, alone, with the help of a GPS, I chose the fastest growing city in the nation (2004), beautiful Port St. However I was soon to discover all was not exact
ly how I had pictured my paradise. There are many nuances and differences between the Northeast and the Southeast. For this reason I can help those relocating with issues that arise from purchasing a new home and using a title company vs. the customary attorney necessary in the Northern tri-state area to advising first-time residents to NOT get rid of all their winter attire. Many times in January and February the temperatures do dip and I’ve worn sweaters, coats, boots. I had actually thought it very strange when I first had seen fire places in many new and/or resale residences. I came to learn that this is an asset rather than turning on a whole heating system when temperatures do call for it [heat]! When considering my move, I researched myriad resale and new home communities. In doing so, I learned about necessities for a comfortable Florida existence, along with perks and advantages to look for with resale and new home construction. More than your new home specialist, I would like perspective buyers to view me as a friend. I would like to apprise possible new residents of the many wonderful offerings of Port St. Lucie….from Tradition (a city within a city) to the other side of town, closer to the ocean and beaches. Lucie is a large city. For families with children, education and a reputable college is a big plus, especially with the offering of dual enrollment.
