🏠 When someone loses their home, where do they go that first night?

That question is why Riverview HOPE Campus matters.

The person walking through our doors could be your neighbor, a former coworker, or someone in your own family. Whatever brought them here, they deserve a meal, a safe place to sleep, and someone willing to help them work toward stability. ❤️

🛏️ A night of shelter gives someone a place to rest.
🍽️ A warm meal gives them one less thing to worry about.
🤝 Support helps them begin working toward self-sufficiency again.

Keeping that help available takes people showing up, and it takes financial support. Staff must be there. Food must be prepared. The lights must stay on.

Longtime friends to Hope Campus tonight with Cavanaugh Free Will Baptist Church lead by Johnny,Cindy and Jackie and host of friends from church to make dinner.I love watching they're meals get started everytime with Johnny first usually, followed by Cindy and then Jackie.They all take turns going outside to get food they bring and get setup and start with talking,jokes,laughing and work.Not only do they dream up they're meal menu every two weeks,but Jackie usually bakes cakes like tonight too.They are just wonderful people and tonight made baked fish hush puppies, tartar sauce,potatoes, pinto beans and desserts too.Love seeing them and appreciate them for coming again.Great meal!

First Monday of the month and it's strong.This morning at Hope Campus we had the Rivervalley Nurse's in with Carolyn's menus.The effort I explained to the residents was incredible.Carolyns youngest son baked twelve loaves of bread until 3am and her husband David sliced them all perfectly and they looked like commercial bread,but tasted amazing. Carolyn came on Sunday to bake the chocolate cakes.I wanted to highlight the efforts to cook a meal here.The group then came and brought it all home wonderfully. So many good cooks and big hearts made a Shepard pie,the great toasted bread,and grandma's greenbeans with bacon,fantastic chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream.You can't beat that and Thank to everyone who came,cooked and served today!
