For most Florida visitors age 16+, saltwater fishing requires a Florida license unless a specific exemption applies. Examples can include fishing aboard properly licensed charter vessels or from a pier holding the applicable pier license—but do not assume your location qualifies.

A three-night Emerald Coast trip is long enough to enjoy—but short enough that overplanning can ruin it. Our approach: arrival day = settle in + easy beach time. Full day one = your biggest priority. Full day two = choose either another activity or a slower island day. Departure morning = breakfast, one last look at the water and go home without exhaustion. Notice what is missing: four attractions per day. If Gulfarium is a priority, make that the anchor instead of squeezing it between unrelated stops. If the beach is the reason you came, protect time for it. A good itinerary helps you experience more by rushing less.

Not every Gulfarium event is designed for children. Croctoberfest 2026 is Saturday, September 19 from 6–9 PM, with VIP entry beginning at 5:30 PM.

Gulfarium specifies that this event is 21+ only and requires a valid photo ID. It includes music, reptile and crocodilian experiences, games and beverage tastings; food is available separately.

Gulfarium currently lists free event parking and wheelchair accessibility as well. If you are taking an adults-only Emerald Coast trip or grandparents have an evening to themselves, this is one of those local events that may fit better than another traditional tourist activity.
