Today, I join millions of Americans in remembering the lives lost on September 11, 2001.
Twenty-five years later, the memories of that day remain with us. We remember the innocent victims, the families whose lives were forever changed, and the brave first responders who ran toward danger to help others, many making the ultimate sacrifice.
Having spent much of my life serving our community, I have a deep appreciation for the courage, commitment, and selflessness shown that day. More than anything, today is about honoring those who were lost and expressing gratitude for those who answered the call when their country needed them most.
As we go about our day, may we take a moment to reflect on the blessings we have, cherish our loved ones, and remember the unity and strength that carried our nation through one of its darkest moments.
We will never forget.
