🎉 Big news for the historic Schaab Riverfront Development!
Mayor Sharon Tucker announced today that Mitchell’s Downtown and Flashbacks Downtown will be opening at 1216 N. Harrison St.
• 🍔 Mitchell’s Downtown will bring a scratch kitchen, upscale bar menu, family-friendly dining, an outdoor patio, and plenty of big screens for sports fans.
• 🪩 Flashbacks Downtown will revive the classic dance club vibe on the second floor — complete with a riverfront patio.
Both venues are planned to open in mid-to-late 2026, just as the new Riverfront Fort Wayne Phase IIB public space comes to life with hammock groves, cascading steps, and more.
Developer Don Steininger and Schaab Riverfront Plaza LLC have already invested $7 million into the restoration, preserving the 19th-century brick façade while reimagining the 30,000 sq. ft. space for a new era.
This is another exciting step toward making our riverfront a vibrant hub for food, fun, and community.!
