Local Non-Profit Spotlight 💛

Not the kind of content I usually share on my business socials, but, eight years ago I became a widow, which, surprise surprise, did not come with a manual.

Turns out one of the more useful things I did with that experience was become a group facilitator at The WARM Place, a Fort Worth nonprofit that’s given free grief support to kids and young adults for over 35 years.

From what i can tell, grief doesn’t ever really go away. You just learn to make friends with it.

Being a young widow is a strange, specific kind of lonely. There just weren’t a lot of people around me in the same boat (I knew one. Hi, Alex!).

While I hate they're in the boat, I love that an organization exists where children have other passengers with them in it.
