I’m really glad I did it 🏋🏽‍♀️

Body held up, knees behaved after some rest, and I came out no worse than I went in which was the goal.

Ended up going 5 for 6:
Snatches in kg at 48, 50, 52 ✅
Clean & jerks at 59, 61 ✅ (missed the 63 jerk)

Not my biggest numbers, but solid for where things have been, and I’ll take that.
More than anything, I had a great time. That part mattered.

Thank you to everyone who weighed in when I was trying to decide! I really did take it all into account.

Last heavy sn**ch before the meet.

It wasn’t pretty. The bone spurs in my knees are hurting and this prep hasn’t gone the way I hoped. But that’s where things are right now.

I’m still competing. The numbers will be lower, and that’s fine. I’m going to lift what I can, stay smart, and enjoy being there with friends and teammates 🌊🦀

Some meets are about chasing big lifts (like all of them before now LOL).
This one is just about showing up and being part of it 🏋🏽‍♀️
