Michael Karol was born in Fort Worth in 1986 where he grew up until graduating from Arlington Heights High School in 2005. He then attended the University of Mississippi from 2005-2009 where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a minor in geological studies. Upon returning to Fort Worth, he began a career as a petroleum landman focusing on executing mineral leases
in greater Tarrant County for various natural gas production companies on a contract basis. Later, his landman position relocated him to Western Pennsylvania, Kansas and the West Texas regions. He began a career in commercial real estate in 2015 with the local, boutique firm Northern Realty Group managed by former Fort Worth Zoning Commission chair, Will Northern. His primary area of focus was and still is the Fort Worth medical district also known as Near Southside where he worked as a leasing agent to help place various types of start-up businesses, entrepreneurs, investors and developers find the ideal new or expansion location to set up shop within historic commercial building conversions. In 2019 he began working for Christie’s International Real Estate as commercial sales and leasing specialist focusing on property types ranging from retail, industrial, multi-family, office, land and net investment property sales and acquisitions. In April 2022 he, along with his fellow commercial team members from Christie’s, moved his TREC license to Compass Real Estate via a company merger. Michael is also the founder of KRES Property Tax Consulting which represents property owners via property tax protest hearings to help reduce and stabilize annual property tax expenses that pose a burden for commercial and residential property owners across 14 counties in North Texas since 2017. He is also a co-founder of the non-profit organization, Fort Worth Abroad whose mission is to raise funding for study aboard scholarships awarded to FWISD grads by means of donation based live musical performances and art galleries that showcase local talent while raising awareness for scholarship applicants vying to further their educational goals and world views by way of studying abroad. Economic development, community engagement and investment education are the pillars of his business. He is an active part of the Fort Worth community and it’s affiliates as a board member of various EDC related organizations including East Fort Worth Inc., Grow Southeast, CoAct and also serves on the development review committee of Southeast Fort Worth, Inc. Michael is also the immediate past Chairman of the Greater Fort Worth Realtor Association’s Society of Commercial Realtors. Awards and Achievements:
