Remembering all those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms this Memorial Day. ๐บ๐ธ๐๐บ๐ธ
A message from our Senior Marketing Director....
A DAY FOR REMEMBERING
John F. Kennedy once said, "As we express our gratitude to our nationโs heroes, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them."
Memorial Day is a moment set aside to remember all those who served this nationโs armed forces only to never return home from the far corners of the earth, a force uniquely joined in the mission of committed service to the advancement of freedom and keeping our home safe. Mothers and Fathers, Grandfathers, Brothers, Daughters, and Sons - all those lost to a nation in sacrifice for freedom and protecting those who they serve alongside.
It is on Memorial Day that we pause to recognize this enveloping blanket of protection provided by our fallen Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines. Their sacrifice has anchored a foundation that allows for creation and discovery, building great big things, advancements in education, medicine, and technology. It is their contribution that provides the very facet of liberty to pursue.
As a 22-year veteran of the United States Army, there is one absolute principle that I learned as a young Private in 1990 that I have applied to my entire life: leave it better than I found it. This is a responsibility we all share. While we appreciate and remember, we must also make our own part of the world - our own contribution to the world - better than you found it. This is how we ensure the loss of our warriors was not in vain.
On this Memorial Day, I hope you can find a moment of reflection, a moment of calm, and a moment of appreciation for our nationโs fighting forces. It is their loss that has gifted each of us the opportunities we have to pursue, create, build, serve - and, if nothing else, the freedom to dream big.
