As you may have seen in the recently, we are super excited to announce that local darling start up is going to be moving to the other end of Magnolia Ave into our Mag/May building at 401 W Magnolia Avenue!!! If you’ve followed this family owned small biz success story, you’ve seen the Duran family’s growth from a small food truck, into a food hall and now with rapid growth comes the brick and mortar and boy do they have some great plans for this space!!! Be ready for some beautiful patio hangs!
They’ve made their names on the backs of their tacos (pink tacos at that ☺️) and their family coffee recipe (prob the best in the city for a stand-alone cup of black ☕️) but they have also expanded their menu gradually! They will combine their concept into their new menu, to go along with tortas, tamales, pozole, menudo, pan dulce and some other new items! Oh and if you wonder who’s making your food, it’s none other than owner Cinthya Duran’s own mother in the kitchen, this is truly family owned and run!!!
Most of you Near Southsider’s already know this award winning restaurant but this expansion will bring even more loyal fans and customers. Our very own Eric Vickers represented Cafecito in their relocation and expansion efforts! Stay tuned for opening dates as they continue to get the space ready! Roadrunner Stop has outgrown their first digs in their original location in the River District and are packing up shop to bring all their funky and fun personality to us here off Magnolia Ave in the neighborhood! What doesn’t this shop have is the question! It’s gift shop, part clothing boutique and part all that’s weird and fun into this amazing retail space. The store definitely matches the owners personalities as best friends and .gtr definitely let their presence be shown in their inventory and the space! Our very own repped Roadrunner Stop on this deal!

Their grand opening is this Saturday, so please come show them some neighborhood love and how amazing a community we are! More retail, more small biz, more great people…what a win for the neighborhood and city!!!

🍺NEW TENANT ALERT🍺
We are so very excited to announce the arrival of to our South Main Village neighborhood at our property at 1001 S Main Street!!! They transformed the entire ground floor of this building 🔨and have created a great place for craft brew 🍻 lovers and families, to go along with their great food 🍔 selection! Not only are they slinging beers but they have an impressive cocktail list 🍹for the non beer drinks, plus some incredible mocktails for the NA community!!! They opened Saturday and will be open 7 days a week (peep the hours on slide 2) from here on! Go give the Voodoo staff some love (filled with lots of local neighborhood friends) and welcome them to the best neighborhood in the city!!!

🎸 LOST ‘n SOUND 🎸
FREE music! FREE music! Who doesn’t love the sound of that! Head on down to South Main Village this Saturday for the all day and night music series put on by our very own members!!! Our very own and will be a part of the event and will I’ll have live performances and Pouring Glory will even have an outdoor market!
This event was created to showcase out local music scene, which is heavily populated her in the Near Southside with many many talented musicians and bands!!! This will be the 2nd edition in 2024 and it will pick back up in the fall as well, so bring your fam and friends out to enjoy music, shopping and food/drink all day! If we don’t invest in our local music scene and small businesses now, we could lose a few of them forever cry😩!!!

In a very tough economic climate currently and the tides of the craft beer industry ever changing, South Main Village OG’s have decided that April 27th will be officially their last day in business. They came into the neighborhood as an early adopter and we thank them for their years making this area what it is today🥰!

Open Streets is an amazing day event where Magnolia Avenue is shut down and turned into a transportation & mobility pep rally!!! The Near Southside prides itself on its forward thinking into walkable environments and destinations! They partner with 🚲 in continuing to add bike share dock stations. They work with the city to enhance bike lanes and bike safety in the neighborhood plus they are huge advocates of public transportation 🚌 of all sorts. They worked with to open skate park 🛹 last year!!! Our very own tenant .skate.shop was integral in bringing us Fire Station Park as well!
