My lender asked me this question while we were at the Fort Worth Stockyards, and my answer was simple:
When it comes to your primary residence, I believe buying can make sense when you’re financially ready and planning to stay long term.
Think of it almost like a long-term savings account. Instead of paying rent month after month, you’re making payments toward an asset you own. Over time, your loan balance can go down while the home may appreciate in value, helping you build equity along the way.

You don’t have to perfectly time the market. The better question is: Are you financially ready to buy and is the home/payment right for you?
