We are coming together to join the nationwide movement in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and to support the children and families who need us most — the kids at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®. By participating in the St. Jude Walk, I am helping in the fight to cure childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
This cause is deeply personal to me. I have experienced firsthand what it means to have a child battling cancer. During that incredibly difficult time, organizations like this were a source of strength and support for my family, helping us get through one of the hardest periods of our lives.
Sadly, my son Ryan did not survive his battle. But by being part of this effort, I can honor his memory. If I can help even one child and their family, it brings comfort to know that Ryan’s legacy lives on through this work.
