I get asked this more than anything else: "I've never bought a house. Where do I start?"

Here's the straight answer. Six steps, in order. Know your numbers. Talk to a lender. Plan for closing costs. Write a short must-have list. Bring in an agent early. And know what happens between offer and closing.

None of it is complicated once someone walks you through it. That's my job. I'll tell you exactly what to expect, and when.

Before real estate, I managed bars. Busy rooms taught me to read people fast, stay calm when it gets loud, and keep things moving without rushing anyone.

Turns out that's exactly what a first-time buyer needs.

I've been helping people buy and sell across Fort Worth, Weatherford, Azle, and Haslet since 2015. I'll tell you what to expect, and when, before we look at a single listing. Straight answers. Clear communication. No surprises.

About 80% of my clients come from people I've already worked with. That's the review I care about most.

If you're thinking about buying your first home, email me at [email protected]. No pressure, just a straight answer to your questions.

Fort Worth, Azle, Weatherford, or Haslet. Four very different budgets, all inside a thirty-minute drive of each other.

I put together the Fort Worth Corridor Buyer's Guide because I kept having the same conversation with buyers. The real question isn't "should I buy." It's "which of these is my house."

Inside:
· The 2026 numbers: rates, inventory, and the homestead exemption
· All four communities side by side
· The mistakes I see most
· What I'd do this month

Swipe through and save it for when you're ready. Questions? Email me at [email protected]. No pressure, just a straight answer.

To everyone who earned it. 🇺🇸

Every set of keys I hand over started the same way — someone showing up, shift after shift, day after day. That's the story behind every buyer I get to work with in Fort Worth, Weatherford, Azle, and Haslet. Today, the work rests. Enjoy the day you built.

Happy Labor Day from the Myrow team.

Is it a good time to buy in Fort Worth right now?

Short answer: for a lot of buyers, yes — and I actually mean it this time. Here's what I'm seeing on the ground:

1. You can negotiate again. Homes are selling around 96% of list price, and roughly 1 in 4 listings across DFW has taken a price cut. Sellers are talking repairs, closing-cost help, and rate buy-downs — conversations that didn't happen a couple years ago.

2. More homes to choose from. Inventory is near 4+ months of supply, the most balanced Fort Worth has felt in years. You're not being rushed into a 48-hour decision.

3. Prices are flat, not falling off a cliff. Median price is basically where it was a year ago. For most people, waiting for a big crash has just meant paying more later.

4. Rates eased off the peak. Hovering in the low-to-mid 6s, close to a full point below a year ago. If they dip more, you refinance — you can't go back and re-buy at today's price.

The takeaway: the "perfect" moment is a myth. The real question is whether the payment fits your life and you plan to stay put a few years. If both are true, this is a genuinely reasonable window in Fort Worth.

🐾 Happy National Dog Day from the real MVPs of the office — Lilo (Rottweiler) and Kida (Saint Bernard mix).

These two have sat through more listing prep, phone calls, and “just one more errand” than any dog should have to. Lilo thinks she’s a lap dog. Kida thinks every client is coming over to see her.

If you know me, you know these two are part of the package. Drop a photo of your dog below — let’s see who’s running your household too. 🐶

First-time buyers — here’s one thing nobody tells you:

Your pre-approval amount and your comfortable monthly payment are two different numbers. The bank will often approve you for more than you actually want to spend.

Before you fall in love with a house, sit down and figure out YOUR number — not the bank’s number. What can you pay and still sleep at night?

I’ll give it to you straight: the best home isn’t the biggest one you qualify for. It’s the one that doesn’t stress you out every month.

Buying your first home in DFW? Let’s walk through this together, step by step — no jargon, no pressure.

Quick thing I get asked a lot: "Is now a good time to buy or sell in Fort Worth?" 🏡

Here's the honest answer — it depends on your situation, not the headlines. If you've got equity built up, rates dropping even a little can make a move worth it. If you're happy where you are, it might make more sense to just refinance or sit tight.

One thing people forget to factor in: your home insurance costs are part of that math too. I help clients look at the full picture — not just "can I afford the mortgage" but "what's this actually going to cost me monthly, insurance included."

If you're on the fence about buying, selling, or just want a gut check on your numbers, send me a message. Happy to talk it through, no pressure. 😊

"This or that" home edition 🏠

Let's settle some debates. Comment your picks below:

🛁 Soaking tub or walk-in shower?
🍳 Open concept kitchen or defined rooms?
🌳 Big backyard or low-maintenance yard?
🚪 Front porch or back patio?
🏚️ Fixer-upper with character or move-in ready?

I'll go first: walk-in shower, open concept, big backyard, front porch, and move-in ready — no shame in it. 😄

Drop yours in the comments — curious to see what DFW buyers actually want right now.

Funny how this business works — I can't tell you how many times a client asked me "hey, do you know a good insurance agent?" right after closing.

So I decided to become that person. 😄 I'm now licensed to help with home, auto, and commercial insurance, and since I'm independent, I can shop multiple carriers to find you the best rate instead of being stuck with just one company's pricing.

If you're a homeowner in the DFW area and haven't had your policy reviewed in a while, I'd love to take a look. No pressure, just an honest comparison.
