First confirmed U.S. case of New World Screwworm found today in a calf in Zavala County, about 100 miles southwest of San Antonio.

We are working with the Texas Animal Health Commission, U.S. Department of Agriculture and partners statewide to respond.

Early detection is critical and it is important to report suspected infestation in live animals

It's been a while since I posted, and I'm sure the FB algorithm has noticed. There have been a lot of things going on in the Rogers' household...including migrating the household. There are more details to come, but in the meantime...here is a trench. And yes, I know it isn't straight. I'm letting the water meander like in nature.

No days off when you have animals to check! They were good. Not if you ask them…but they were.

If you’re cold and stuck inside, it’s a good time to look at new properties and dream of warmer days. (That’s a joke…it would take just a little longer than that 🤣)

Lillian would like to invite the community of Palo Pinto County to come out and support our local 4-H and FFA students. These kids will be showcasing their hard work through livestock projects, ag mechanics, and horticulture.

This year, Lillian will be showing rabbits and her Brahman heifer. Like so many others, she and her fellow exhibitors have spent countless hours all year caring for their projects, learning responsibility, and doing things the right way.

These students don’t stop at just showing animals. They compete in 4-H and FFA contests year-round and continue to bring home Grand and Reserve Champion teams and individual awards, putting Palo Pinto County on the map for agriculture and beyond.

The funds earned at the county sale go straight back into college savings and next year’s projects. If you are not able to purchase an animal, there is also an option to support a student through add-ons, every bit helps and goes directly to the kids.

Palo Pinto County business owners and community members; come out, show up, and support these kids. They’ve earned it.

We’ve been gearing up for the Palo Pinto County Livestock Show! We can’t wait to see how all the kids have taken care of their ag projects this year! The schedule is below! We have big news coming for the buyers and all add-ons as well, so stay tuned! If you haven’t followed us now is the time!
