Would you trust your biggest financial decision to an agent who closed 2 deals this year? 👇
That's not a typo — it's the median. An independent study of 2,000 agents at major firms found 49% sold just one home or none all year, and 70% sold five or fewer.
Most of this industry is part-time, sporadic, and learning in real time on people's largest financial decisions.
That's dangerous.
At the same time, the people actually moving are walking through major life transitions:
First-time buyers are now a median age of 40 — an all-time high
79% of all purchases are repeat buyers, whose median age is now 62
Sellers are a median age of 64 and have owned their home a median of 11 years — both record highs
These are decisions tied to retirement, health, family, and stewardship — not just square footage.
I also believe faith matters here.
My work is guided by the conviction that integrity isn't optional, truth matters even when it costs you, and people should never be treated as transactions. Scripture talks a lot about stewardship — and real estate is one of the largest stewardship decisions most families will ever make.
That's why I still prospect.
Not to pressure people, but because if I don't show up, the space gets filled by someone louder, not better — someone with less experience, weaker ethics, or no framework for accountability.
Most homeowners don't know my background unless I tell them. They don't know I've coached agents. They don't know I've helped guide over 900 home sales across two states. They don't know I've already made the mistakes so they don't have to.
Prospecting is how I serve before I'm needed — so when someone finally asks, "Can you help me?" the answer is rooted in competence, care, and faith-driven responsibility.
