As all of us follow social media remember to do your own research and not read just the headlines and sometimes people's opinions are not the FACTS.
Not Just a Photo Op—Real Work for Real Reform
Last week’s Common Ground Coalition meeting in Washington, D.C., hosted by Senator Tim Sheehy (R-Mont.), was more than a gathering, it was a working session focused on meaningful change.
Leaders from across the agricultural sector came together to dig into specific regulatory and legislative reforms aligned with the coalition’s five core objectives. The goal: to deliver real benefits to farms and ranches across the United States.
We’re grateful to the following federal officials for their time, insight, and commitment:
• U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins
• Sen. John Boozman (R-Ark.)
• Sen. Steve Daines (R-Mont.)
• Sen. Deb Fischer (R-Neb.)
• Rep. Adam Gray (D-Calif.)
• Rep. Harriet Hageman (R-Wyo.)
• Sen. John Hoeven (R-N.Dak.)
• Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-Miss.)
• Sen. Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyo.)
• Rep. Barry Moore (R-Ala.)
• Sen. Pete Ricketts (R-Neb.)
• Sen. Jim Risch (R-Idaho)
• Rep. Dave Taylor (R-Ohio)
We also recognize the dedication of Common Ground Coalition attendees who represented operations large and small with purpose and passion:
California – Jake Parnell (Galt)
Colorado – James Henderson (La Jara)
Kentucky – Renee Carrico (Springfield)
Minnesota – Don Schiefelbein (Kimball)
Montana – Colton Coffee, Fred Wacker, Joe Goggins (Miles City, Billings)
Nebraska – Greg Ibach (Sumner), Doug Shepperd (Mills)
North Carolina – John Barnes (Fairfield)
Oklahoma – Jeremy Kinder (Faxon)
Oregon – Paul Houret (Lakeview)
This coalition isn’t about headlines—it’s about hard work, shared values, and a commitment to securing the future of American agriculture.
Stay tuned this week as we dive into the specific reform areas that attendees addressed.
