The 5th Annual Fountain Hills Food Drive for Residents officially kicked off today and will run through February 25th. This year’s drive proudly supports the Extended Hands Food Bank, whose work directly serves members of our local community who are facing food insecurity.
A special thank you to Mayor Gerry Friedel for helping launch the event and for using his Friedel Friday platform to raise awareness and support. Community partnerships like this are a large part of what makes Fountain Hills such a special place to live.
Residents are invited to donate non-perishable food items at any one of the six blue-bin drop-off locations throughout town:
• The Inspiration Academy – 16150 E El Lago Blvd
• Euro Pizza Cafe – 12645 N Saguaro Blvd #101
• The Pellegrini Group / MCO Realty – 16872 E Avenue of the Fountains
• Fountain Hills Town Hall – 16705 E Avenue of the Fountains
• Fountain Hills Community Center – 13001 N La Montana Dr
• Iron Roots – 17225 E Shea Blvd
Drop-off days and hours will vary by location.
This annual initiative helps Extended Hands replenish their shelves and continue serving families who depend on their support year-round. Hunger does not follow a season, it is a 365-day reality for many, and even small contributions make a meaningful difference.
We are grateful to be a part of the businesses and individuals helping make this drive possible, including The Inspiration Academy, Euro Pizza Cafe, Iron Roots, Fountain Hills Town Hall, Fountain Hills Community Center, as well as the Fountain Hills Italian Interest Group and the dedicated team at Extended Hands Food Bank.
We encourage all residents to participate and help support our neighbors in need. When a community comes together, we are capable of making a tremendous impact! Thank you to everyone who contributes and spreads the word.
