Aluminum wiring was a material that was used in homes mid 60s to mid 70s. Aluminum has been known to become defective faster than copper. This can be dangerous overtime as defective and poor connections can cause wiring to overheat and can potentially become a fire hazard. Here is an example of aluminum wires that have become overheated and damaged in the electrical panel.

We always recommend getting a sewer scope during your home inspection. It’s a dirty job that we are fully prepared for. Sometimes this inspection turns up things in your sewer line you wouldn’t expect to find. For example this Major crack in a clay line. We record the entire sewer scope and upload it to your report that is delivered the same day as your inspector.
