It’s time for another "Meet Your Neighbors" feature, and this week we are stepping back in time with a fun architectural masterpiece! Say hello to BirdHouse at Treetop, a stunning, late-1960s Mid-Century Modern octagonal home right here at Lake of the Ozarks. 🏡✨

This isn't just any vacation rental—owners Tony and Jodi Devonshire have been incredibly hard at work completely converting this space, lovingly adding custom features and curated vintage decor to perfectly blend retro soul with modern comfort.

Inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright, it features dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows with a sweeping 360-degree view of the lake, woodlands, and golf course.
What makes it special inside?

🛏️ Two full bedrooms plus a convertible third bedroom with an accordion privacy wall (and bonus: every single sleeping space has its own full bathroom!).

📻 Retro vibes galore, including a working record player with curated vinyl, a vintage radio, and a classic Atari setup.

🍳 A fully stocked kitchen complete with a pasta maker for epic home-cooked meals.

When they aren't relaxing on the deck or letting their dog splash around the private resort swim dock, Tony and Jodi are welcoming guests to experience this one-of-a-kind lakeside escape. Let's give them a massive Treetop welcome! 👋💚

💡 FUN FACT: Tony and Jodi are major cycling and community advocates! When they aren't at the lake, they run the charming Bike Stop Cafe right off the Katy Trail in Historic St. Charles, Missouri. 🌳✨ Treehouse Reimagined – Final Reveal ✨🌳

The final installment of Levi and Lindsey Sinak’s Treehouse Remodel Series is here — complete with the full tour and before + afters of Unit 8 at Treetop Village.

From the beginning, this project was never about stripping everything away and starting over. The vision centered on bringing new life to the space while preserving the character, beams, and architectural details that made Treetop Village one of Lake of the Ozarks’ most memorable resort destinations in the 70s and 80s.

Designed by Lindsey Sinak, interior designer and co-owner of Upstaged Design, the completed Treehouse blends thoughtful design with the tradition and legacy of the property itself — creating a space built for long weekends, full houses, quiet mornings, late nights, and unforgettable memories at the Lake.

As part of the Treetop Village Resort rental program, the renovation reflects a careful approach to creating something beautiful, practical, and deeply connected to the experience guests come to Lake of the Ozarks to enjoy.
