10 years. ❤️
This year marks 10 years as a Realtor with REMAX Prime Properties, and if you know me—or have followed me for any length of time—you know I don’t do a lot of self-promotion. But this milestone feels worth celebrating.
Ten years ago, I wasn’t sure what I would do when my youngest started school.
Before he was born, I was a registered broker’s assistant working in a stock brokerage firm. After much thought and prayer, my husband and I decided I would stay home with him. We always assumed that when he started kindergarten, I would return to the workforce. But as the years went by, my Series 7 license lapsed, and I knew I couldn’t simply go back to what I had known.
I had always wanted to be a teacher since my first child was born, so I began exploring education. But I quickly realized that, with my personality, school would consume me—and that defeated much of the reason I had chosen to stay home in the first place.
So I did what I probably should have done from the beginning: I stopped trying to figure it all out and trusted God to provide the right thing in His timing.
And He did.
In 2016, our family had been traveling to Frankenmuth for church for several years, and we decided it was time to move back to our hometown of Millington so our kids could go to school there. That summer, just before my youngest started kindergarten, we found our home and met Sherry Morris. She sold us our new home and listed the one we were leaving.
And during that very first meeting, she asked me if I had ever considered becoming a Realtor.
My response? “Sure.”
I had never actually thought about it. But I jumped in.
Looking back, I can say with complete confidence: I did not pick this career. I did not plan this career. And yet, it has been the perfect fit. And OH, how it was the perfect timing!
Real estate has given me so much more than a job. It has given me flexibility for my family, challenged me to grow, introduced me to some truly incredible people, and brought me into moments in people’s lives that I will always treasure.
There have been plenty of lessons, challenges, celebrations, friendships, and memories over these last 10 years. And when I look back at the path that brought me here, I can see God’s faithfulness woven through all of it.
So while I don’t often take the time to celebrate myself, today I’m celebrating 10 years. 🎉
10 years of homes.
10 years of clients who became friends.
10 years of learning and growing.
10 years of memories.
And most importantly, 10 years of being reminded that God is so very faithful!
I’m incredibly grateful for this unexpected journey—and excited to see what the next chapter holds. ❤️
