After months on the sidelines, many homebuyers who were priced out due to high mortgage rates and affordability issues now have a chance to step back in. With rates on the decline, today’s market offers a prime opportunity for buyers—but it may not last for long.

With rates currently in the low 6% range, we're not far from reaching that key threshold. The bottom line is, when rates drop into the 5s, the number of buyers in the market will increase, leading to more competition. This higher demand could drive home prices up, potentially offsetting some of the savings you'd gain from a lower interest rate.

According to a Bankrate survey, over half of homeowners would be motivated to purchase this year if rates fall below 6%.

23 years ago on September 10th, 246 people went to sleep in preparation for their morning flights. 2,606 people went to sleep in preparation for work in the morning. 343 firefighters went to sleep in preparation for their morning shift. 60 police officers went to sleep in preparation for morning patrol. 8 paramedics went to sleep in preparation for the morning shift. None of them saw past 10:00 am Sept 11, 2001. In one single moment life may never be the same.
