With today’s forecast calling for severe storms, I hope everyone stays safe and takes the necessary precautions to protect themselves and their families.

For home buyers, as strange as it may sound, storms can be one of the best times to evaluate a property. If you’re actively looking at homes this weekend, pay attention to how a home handles heavy rain. Water intrusion, drainage concerns, moisture issues, foundation leaks, and grading problems often reveal themselves during or immediately after a major storm.

For sellers, this is also a reminder of the importance of honesty and proper disclosure. While it can be difficult to discuss issues with a home you’ve loved, Illinois law requires sellers to disclose known material defects. Being upfront protects everyone involved and helps transactions move forward with trust and transparency.

At the end of the day, no one has ever gotten into trouble for being honest. Most problems arise when known issues are hidden and later discovered.

Stay safe today, and if you have questions about buying, selling, disclosures, or what to look for after a storm, feel free to reach out.

So you want to get into real estate?

Before you sign up for classes and start chasing a license, have a conversation with a Realtor or someone actively working in the field.

Ask yourself this question:

Why do you want to do real estate?

And be honest.

Beyond the money.

What most people see is the commission check. What they don't see are the skills required to build a successful career:

β€’ Communication
β€’ Organization
β€’ Discipline and consistency
β€’ Marketing and social media
β€’ Reading and understanding contracts
β€’ Managing people and expectations
β€’ Tracking deadlines
β€’ Understanding laws and ethics
β€’ Emotional regulation under pressure
β€’ Basic math and financial analysis
β€’ Psychology and negotiation
β€’ Networking
β€’ Building relationships
Etc.

Real estate isn't just showing houses. It's solving problems, managing emotions, handling difficult situations, and guiding people through some of the biggest financial decisions of their lives.

Many of us enter this industry with a very different picture of what the day-to-day actually looks like.

I'm not here to scare you away from it.

I'm here to prepare you for it.

I am building an intro to real estate / new agent packet to help better prepare and educate future realtors

Feel free to reach out with any questions.

What will you do today that can change your tomorrow?

Sometimes we get so comfortable in our routines that we stop noticing we're moving through the same day over and over again. We wake up, follow the same schedule, take the same route, and wonder why nothing feels different.

The truth is, change doesn't always come from a major life decision. Sometimes it starts with something small.

Maybe instead of driving straight home after work, you stop at a forest preserve and take a walk. Maybe you visit a place you've never been, start a conversation with someone new, read a book, learn a skill, or simply spend a few minutes in nature and away from the noise.

Small changes create new perspectives. New perspectives create new opportunities.

If you're not where you want to be, ask yourself:Where do I want to go?And what do I need to do differently to get there?

Your future isn't built by what you plan to do someday. It's built by the choices you make today.

What's one thing you're going to do differently today?

Please stop leaving these blank. This is happening more and more.
It is required prior to going live on the market that this be filled out only by the seller with their signature

Stop allowing sellers to leave this blank with just a signature. As brokers, we know better.
We need to protect our sellers and not being honest about the property they are οΏΌselling can leave both broker and seller liable for any findings that were clear and easy to find.

Not every property situation is simple β€” and I want people to know there are options.

I’m currently looking for properties throughout the area, including distressed homes, inherited properties, hoarder houses, homes needing major repairs, or situations where homeowners simply don’t want to deal with cleaning out the property or putting it on the market.

I also work with homeowners facing foreclosure or difficult circumstances and may be able to help find solutions before things get worse.

There is absolutely no pressure or commitment. It starts with just a conversation to see if we can make something work that benefits everyone involved.

If you or someone you know is overwhelmed with a property situation and doesn’t know where to start, feel free to reach out privately. Sometimes having a conversation and understanding your options can make a huge difference.

Made a few updates to my booking app today, including slight price adjustments to a couple services that were intentionally underpriced β€” mainly facials and beard trims. I also updated the emergency haircut request section for appointments outside my scheduled hours.

While going through everything, I ended up reading through my reviews for the first time in a long time and honestly, it meant more to me than I expected.

I’m currently at 66 five-star reviews, and reading the comments about how my clients feel when they leave my chair truly reminded me why I chose this career. Seeing people say they feel more confident, appreciated, comfortable, and taken care of after their appointment is one of the best feelings in the world.

After 16 years behind the chair, I can honestly say I still love what I do. I’m grateful for every conversation, every appointment, every recommendation, and every person who continues to trust me.

Thank you to all of my clients for the continued support and loyalty over the years. I truly appreciate every single one of you. β€οΈπŸ’ˆ

If you or someone you know owns a distressed property in Will County, I may be able to help.

I am currently looking for off-market properties, including:
β€’ Foreclosures
β€’ Inherited homes
β€’ Parent or grandparent estates
β€’ Homes needing repairs or clean-outs
β€’ Vacant or neglected properties

If the property feels overwhelming, needs work, or you simply do not want to deal with listing it on the market, feel free to reach out. Situations involving clutter, damage, or years of belongings are completely understandable.

I am specifically focused on properties located in Will County and would be interested in speaking directly with owners or families about possible purchase opportunities.

No pressure, just a conversation to see if I can help make the process easier.
Message me directly.
