For whatever reason, I love being in crawlspaces. The creepier they look, the more I like them. Each one feels like an adventure. That being said, I should have packed water for this particular adventure. With a little more than a foot of headroom, a maze of iron pipe and the occasional exposed live wire...it took me nearly 2 hours to drag myself to the other side and back.

Less than a minute into my inspection of this lake cabin, I was greeted by this guy falling from a tree and landing at my feet. Before he took off to hide under the house, he shook his tail and hissed for a bit to let me know how upset he was that I was there. Unfortunately for both of us, that’s where I was headed next. While in the crawl space, he introduced me to the rest of his family. They were just as grumpy.
