This month we are welcoming Grisel, Carlos and Carlos Eden Pacheco of A B B Construction Inc. for a practical conversation on roofing, construction and what real estate investors should be watching for before repair costs start eating into the deal.

We’ll talk through roof condition, repair vs. replacement decisions, exterior systems, maintenance planning and how these items impact flips, rentals, BRRRRs, budgets and ROI.

If you are investing in real estate, evaluating properties or trying to get sharper with project numbers, this is a good room to be in.

Hosted by 79th Ave Lending

Last night’s S·C·O·R·S meetup proved once again that real estate investing isn't a solo sport. Success down here in the South Suburbs and across Chicagoland comes down to the team you line up before the hammer ever hits the first nail.

A huge thank you to Blake McCreight, Wendy McCreight, and Dan Kaleel from Express Property Solutions for dropping such practical knowledge. They broke down wholesaling dynamics, building buyer credibility, and explaining what it actually takes to get taken seriously in today’s market.

It was also great to see the real moving parts of local deals sitting right there in the room together. From active investors like Alejandro celebrating a recently funded Chicago project, to Steve Kaempf from Landtrust Title Services, and property inspector George Wyatt, we had the entire deal cycle connecting under one roof.

We are also proud to keep fueling these connections month after month as the consistent sponsor behind S·C·O·R·S. Building a reliable network requires a reliable foundation, and 79th Ave Lending is fully invested in the long-term success of the local investors, partners, and professionals who show up ready to do real business.

That is exactly what we want S·C·O·R·S to be. Not a room for theoretical talk, but a space for the people who are actively finding, inspecting, titling, and closing the real deals shaping our communities. Relationships still matter, good information still matters, and knowing exactly who to call when you need to move a project forward matters most of all.

A big shoutout to Andrew Holmes Real Estatefor donating a pair of tickets to the upcoming 3 Day Cashflow Conference starting July 24th. That was a phenomenal addition to the evening.

Thank you to everyone who spent their post-holiday evening collaborating with us, and to Social 45 Craft Kitchen by: Jimmy O's for keeping the S·C·O·R·S community fueled.

Let's keep building.

We are looking forward to welcoming Express Property Solutions for this month’s featured conversation.

Looking back over the first year of S·C·O·R·S, we’ve been very fortunate.

From our early networking events to sessions on private lending, self-directed retirement accounts, roofing, staging, goal setting, team building, infinite banking, taxes and deal funding, we’ve had a wide range of speakers and topics brought to the Southland real estate investing community.

Some months were more technical.

Some were more practical.

Some were built around conversations investors needed to be having.

But all of them helped move the group forward.

Thank you to everyone who has spoken, attended, asked questions, made introductions and helped make S·C·O·R·S what it is becoming.

Our next meetup is coming up this month.

Blake and Wendy McCreight have built one of the more recognized wholesale businesses in our area and they are bringing real experience to the room.

The conversation will be focused on working with wholesalers, understanding how deals move and what investors can do to be taken seriously as buyers.

Dan Kaleel will also be joining us to share insight from the disposition side of the business.

If you are trying to get into your first deal or scale up your deal flow, this should be a very useful night.

Last night at 𝐒·𝐂·𝐎·𝐑·𝐒
Great room. Great mix of people. And a lot of good conversations before, during, and after the presentation.
We had 20+ first-time attendees, along with plenty of familiar faces who continue to show up and contribute to what this group has become.

A big thank you to 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐋𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 and 𝐋𝐲𝐧𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐚 for leading the discussion on DSCR and long-term financing.
A topic that hits at the right time for a lot of investors in the room.

What continues to make this group work:
People connecting
Deals getting discussed
Resources getting shared
Talking things through with people who get it

No charge
Nothing too complex
Just a room full of people working to move forward

Appreciate everyone who came out.
We’ll do it again next month 👍

Next week at S·C·O·R·S

If you’ve been planning to join us, this is a great month to come out.

We’ll be focusing on a topic that comes up often as investors continue to grow… how deals transition from short-term or private money into longer-term financing, and what lenders are really looking for along the way.

Featuring Grace and Lynn Plata of Silver Lion Capital Group, who will be sharing insights on DSCR financing, common mistakes borrowers make, and how investors position themselves for long-term funding as they scale.

This is especially helpful for investors working on rentals, BRRRRs, or planning their next phase after a project is completed.

There is no cost to attend, but we do ask that you reserve a ticket so we can plan the room.

𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 · 𝗔𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗨𝗽 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗼

Looking back at May 2025, Adrienne Falconer joined us to talk about building and scaling rental portfolios. The conversation focused on moving beyond the first property and thinking more intentionally about systems, acquisition criteria, and long term portfolio growth.

We discussed what scaling actually looks like in practice, how investors evaluate the next deal, how financing decisions impact growth, and how operational consistency becomes more important as door count increases.

Some attendees were working toward their first rental, while others were actively adding doors. The value came from hearing how different investors approached growth at different stages and what was actually working in the field.

These types of conversations are exactly why we continue hosting this meetup each month. Practical education, real experiences, and a room full of investors learning from each other.
