DeeDee is helping us get ready for our upcoming Book Sale at Magnolia Heights! Join us September 18–19 from 11 a.m.–3 p.m. at our front portico to shop our collection of pre-loved books, with all proceeds supporting resident activities at Magnolia Heights. As we celebrate the retirement of our incredible Activity Coordinator, Debbie, we reflect on a week filled with joyful memories, heartfelt farewells, and gratitude for the lasting impact she has made on our Magnolia Heights community.

Our residents surprised her during Tea Time with a beautiful farewell celebration, sharing laughter, stories, and appreciation for the many special moments created over the years. The week also included a spirited Beanbag Baseball game with our friends from The Highlands, a wonderful social gathering, and a final community outing to enjoy a delicious Italian lunch together.

Since helping open The Highlands in 2013 and later becoming part of the Magnolia Heights family, she has brought endless creativity, compassion, and joy to the lives of our residents. Her dedication to creating meaningful experiences and building genuine relationships has touched countless lives and helped make our community feel like home.

While she will be greatly missed, we are so grateful for the years of service, friendship, and care she has shared. Please join us in wishing her a happy, healthy, and well-deserved retirement. Thank you for everything—you will always be a cherished part of the Hawthorn family. ❤️

What an enjoyable outing with the Charles River Cruise Company in Cambridge! From start to finish, this was one of the most organized, informative, and fun cruises we have experienced. Residents enjoyed beautiful views along the Charles River while learning about the area’s rich history and landmarks.

The day was made even better with a delicious luncheon at The Cheesecake Factory, where everyone enjoyed great food, wonderful conversation, and plenty of smiles.

A perfect day filled with friendship, laughter, and new memories. The pictures truly tell the story!

Our Country BBQ was absolutely delicious! Residents enjoyed a mouthwatering menu featuring BBQ chicken and ribs, potato salad, baked beans, coleslaw, fresh salad, and spumoni ice cream for dessert.

A special thank you to Natalie and her amazing culinary team for outdoing themselves once again with a fantastic meal that everyone loved.

The fun continued with an entertaining performance by Kevin Driscoll, the Musical Ventriloquist, who had everyone smiling, laughing, and singing along.

It was a wonderful afternoon filled with great food, great entertainment, and great company!

Our residents are truly amazing!

Today marked our second Sing-Along, and it was wonderful to see everyone come together to enjoy this special event. A heartfelt thank you to our talented residents who made it all possible—Linda on the piano, and Coleen, Don, and Linda for leading the songs.

The way our residents support, encourage, and celebrate one another is truly beautiful. Events like these remind us that Magnolia Heights is more than a community—it’s a family. ❤️

Our “Unforgettable” Prom at Magnolia Heights was truly a night to remember! The evening was filled with laughter, joy, and wonderful new memories made through growing friendships. Residents enjoyed a festive happy hour sponsored by our generous vendors, followed by an amazing formal dinner. To top off the night, everyone danced the evening away and celebrated together in style. Thank you to everyone who helped make this special event such a beautiful success!

What a wonderful outing! Today we visited The Butterfly Place followed by a delicious lunch at Ninety Nine Restaurant and Pub. The creativity and talent in the room were truly inspiring, and the finished artwork came out absolutely amazing.
